The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be airing on March 7th, 2010. Avatar is up for 9 Oscars including best picture, best director (James Cameron’s), best original score, sound mixing, sound editing, cinematography, art direction, editing, and visual effects. Other films up for Best Picture are: The Blind Side, District 9, An Education, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Precious, A Serious Man, Up, Up in the Air.
